As I said in the first Half-Report, The blues dominated the first half however were unlucky to concede. Also, one player that really changed the tempo of the game is Christian Pulisic ( Man of The Match for me) which I really thought he was needed in order for Chelsea to gain some strength. Chelsea did fought back when they came back from the second half. The match summary is that chelsea won by two goals and two good goals that came two minutes after which demonstrated Chelsea overall dominance. Pulisic off the bench, then Giroud turn and boom And just like that, Chelsea went ahead. Villa had some awful defending, I don’t think Villa played well at all the passes were really sloppy and there was no press from Villa they were just passively defending and if they won the ball back they will immediately throw the ball back to the Chelsea side. My question for the Villa team is who can say press well on the on the Chelsea players ? Who made some game changing tackles ? Who is going to pass and control the flow of the game? Where was the strikers when you needed them? Why are you allowing Chelsea to have so much possession. These are questions that seriously need to be asked. Aston Villa simply haven’t been aggressive enough in the second half, no press or intensity. Aston Villa mistakes is that they sat back against a team like Chelsea for 45 minutes and Chelsea punished them in the end.
